That matters if you rent, if you expect to move, or if you want to cook this season rather than after a construction project. Carts also put storage and side shelves within reach, which an island only provides if you designed it in. Build and mobility

Bodies are stainless steel across the range, which is what allows a cart to live outdoors permanently rather than being wheeled into a garage each autumn. Casters are sized for patio surfaces; a cart loaded with a large grill is heavy, so the surface it rolls on is worth a thought before you order. Where a cart is designed for a propane grill, there is a bay for the tank so nothing is left standing beside the unit.
