Twelve Faber fireplaces from $7,499 to $13,229: eight gas and four electric. Faber is a Dutch manufacturer and this is the top of our hearth range, specified where the fireplace is an architectural element rather than an appliance.

Fireboxes built as architecture

These are fireboxes designed to be built into a wall and finished flush, so what you see is flame and glass rather than a surround. That is what puts them at this price point. Every model publishes its BTU rating and its firebox dimensions, and those dimensions need to be in the drawings before framing rather than after. Venting is specified per model and is not optional on the gas units, so the flue route is part of the design decision rather than an installation detail.

Flame and log sets

The log sets are the reason people specify Faber. Hand finished, with a deep ember bed under them, they are built to be looked at closely rather than glanced at from across a room. Flame height and pattern are adjustable by remote on every model here, so the fireplace can run as a low ember glow or as a full burn. The electric models use the same visual approach without the venting requirement, which is what makes them viable in apartments and in walls with no flue route.

Specification and installation

At this level nothing should be ordered from a thumbnail. Confirm fuel, firebox dimensions and vent configuration against your drawings first, and involve your installer before purchase rather than after delivery. Every unit carries the Faber factory warranty, valid because we are an authorized dealer. Freight is free to the lower 48 and ships curbside on a pallet.
