Outdoor Power Burners

Ten power burners from American Made Grills and Summerset, $2,365 to $2,560. A power burner is the high output ring that handles the jobs a grill and a side burner cannot.

What separates a power burner

A side burner is a hob. A power burner is a serious heat source, built for a stock pot, a wok, a large fryer or a seafood boil, and that is a different category of work. If you cook for numbers, fry outdoors, or want to keep the smell of a boil out of the house entirely, this is the appliance that makes it possible. It is also why outdoor kitchens built for entertaining specify one and kitchens built for weeknight grilling usually do not.

Installation

These are built-in units designed to drop into an island alongside the grill, with published cutout dimensions that need to be in the drawings before any masonry is laid. Retrofitting one into a finished counter means cutting stone. Because the output is high, ventilation and clearance requirements matter more than on a side burner, and those are published per model rather than being generic.

Fuel and warranty

Natural gas and propane are ordered as separate SKUs rather than converted, and the fuel should match the rest of the kitchen. Buying from the same manufacturer as the grill keeps the finishes and controls consistent across the island. Every unit carries its manufacturer factory warranty, valid because we are an authorized dealer, and freight is free to the lower 48 on a pallet. For a full kitchen specification, contact us and we will quote the grill, burners and cart together rather than as separate line items.
